I have some plans going down for the forum and I'm making sure everything's running well. I'll make sure the topics stay alive as well as reduce the amount of garbage that may fill up in the boards over time. There's topics on every level so feel free to express yourself and if you have any ideas or suggestions make sure to post those in the feedback section of the forums.
Some new stuff will be coming up for you all and I would like to make sure everyone that is in the league represents which team they're owning/co-owning by placing their team names in their signatures (this can be edited in the "Edit Your Profile" section which is at the top right of the page). I will be making tags (small signatures) for you all to place in your signatures for better representation of the team that you are a part of. Those will be listed below when I get them done ;) There's also a graphics section in the forums where you can post anything you'd like including tags so feel free to express yourself there as well.
There's also a new staff project I've set up called The Board. These guys are people who would like to moderate the forums or would even like to be a bigger part of the league as a co-commissioner. The commissioner status is being reset each season.
There is still tons of new things coming and with the forums is a much better option to get even more new ideas flowing. I will be able to create an even bigger community of just sports fans as well and Game Day news will be posted on here as well for regular forumers to see how the league players are doing! This can get big guys so be careful ;) Plus all information will be posted in headlines where you can check big news out. At the same time you can see who's online as well as forum polls on the sidebar. This is a much better way to get us communicating in and out of the league.
Board members will have their position labeled on their signatures so that you are aware of who's who. Please pay attention to people's signatures so you know who're your talking to. This is also a sports forum so we may get new vistors!

The league tags for each owner are found in 2 sets, 1 is with the logo as a silouhette faded into the background and the other is the full silouhette. Also, these tags take a bit of time to perfect so check back often to see if your tags have been posted! Choose your favorite one and represent your team!

I know for those of you who are interested, you'd like to know more about next season's news. Well, I would first like to point out that I'm much more excited about next season because I now am more knowledgeable than ever before with the NBA and basketball in general as well as much more anticipated and obliged to get things done and working. What I mean by this is that last season was my first season ever in fantasy basketball as well as a fantasy league owner. This time around, I'm much more prepared and ready to make this season much better than before.
As you've all noticed, these forums are a lot better than the message boards. Of course, we'll still put some use to the forums but this is a great way to communicate other than the message boards. Plus, I may even be able to use this as a community forum for sports fanatics such as ourselves. I'm also tempted to make other fantasy leagues which will make use of this forums and get more head counts.
There's plenty of things to still keep me busy so I'm aware of that and I would really be happy to see some suggestions and ideas flow from you all because a community thrives on all its members. Please do not be afraid to speak up.
2009 NBA Game Day Changes
- League Salary Caps - $70mil (70,000,000).
NBA player salaries will be updated weekly as before. Take note that disciplinary actions will be invoked for those who don't follow the following rules:
1. Must keep within the cap limit. We don't go into negatives - there's no excuse since we don't pay luxury expenses and staff expenses.
2. In case of over-caping, you must release players or trade them away to balance your cap.
Disciplinary actions are as follows:
1. Owners will be suspended from trading/signing players for specified time.
2. Owners will have their ownership suspended for specified time.
3. Players will be removed starting from the lowest salary.

As some of you already know, we faced some inactivity which was obvious from the get-go. We lost some players because they had leagues of their own and some just because they got bored. This time around, there will be an owner prospect list. These guys will have forum accounts and post applications which will be reviewed by the Commissioners. From there, the Commissioners will be able to pull those prospects to fill the inactive positions. This is so we can keep activity alive the whole season.

Believe it or not but news always helps in determining which players are best to choose from and how their future will dictate your success. Consider it like the stock market. I will take the time to review players over the course of the current season and also post articles for highlight players so that you can keep an eye for who's good and who may become good!

With last year's results, I decided to actually hold the league's records and hold awards as well! You'll see those in the Community Information threads.
